Sustainbale Solutions Düsseldorf | 2 - 3 December 2026

Messe Düsseldorf | Booth J10

North Rhine-Westphalia plays a key role within Germany. Between 2020 and 2025, the state more than doubled its photovoltaic capacity, reaching approximately 12.9 GW of installed capacity by mid-2025, distributed across about 948,000 systems. About 92% of this consists of rooftop systems, supplemented by ground-mounted and balcony systems. In the first half of 2025 alone, approximately 763 MW of new PV capacity was installed, placing NRW third nationwide in terms of new installations. With an average per-capita expansion of about 0.72 kWp and a target of at least 21 GW by 2030—with a potential of up to 27 GW under favorable conditions—North Rhine-Westphalia is well on its way to achieving its solar energy goals. At the same time, thanks to its industrial base, existing infrastructure, and former power plant sites, the state is emerging as Germany’s battery hub. By the end of 2025, approximately 2.2 million battery storage systems are expected to be installed nationwide, with North Rhine-Westphalia accounting for a significant share of this total.

Sustainable Solutions Düsseldorf brings together this dynamic industry. The trade show attracted 267 exhibitors and over 13,000 visitors at its last edition, primarily from Germany, supplemented by international trade visitors, particularly from the Netherlands and China. The visitor profile is heavily weighted toward decision-makers, including CEOs, senior executives, entrepreneurs, and technical specialists. The industries represented range from energy generation and supply to electrical installation, trade, and distribution, as well as consulting and project development. With its many years of experience in the field of renewable energy, the trade show serves as a central platform for driving innovation, connecting industry players, and actively shaping the sustainable transformation of the energy sector.
